The broad objective is to leverage the strengths of AI to provide solutions that can enhance quality of life and livelihoods.

Guidelines

• • Each team of not more than four participants (preferably a multidisciplinary team from different degree programmes) shall use existing Open AI or DeepSeek AI tools that are freely available.
• • Each Team to submit an AI driven used case in one of the above themes that can add value to the status quo or suggest anything that’s new & untested to change the value chain or applications associated with any one of the above themes.
• • The AI assisted idea shall be submitted in the form of a 5 minute video and uploaded as YouTube video or GoogleDrive and shared with organisers. The video shall demonstrate the use of the chosen AI tool(s) and the intended benefit.
• • Each team can submit their idea under one theme only. No team can submit ideas for more than on theme. However, team members can be common across different themes in different groups.

Selection & Funding

• • Top five teams from each theme shall be selected for the final round to be held between March 7 & 9, 2025 at SASTRA campus in Thanjavur.
• • Each team shall be given a AI tool-grant of Rs.10,000 on Day One from which they can purchase AI tools online. The AI tools shall be selected in such a manner it advances their initial ideas and teams shall use the subscribed AI tool to improvise and submit their final demo on March 9 before a grand jury.

Prizes

Each theme’s winner shall be awarded a cash prize of Rs.20,000. Interesting and high power ideas shall also be selected for campus incubation with an incubation grant upto a maximum of Rs. 5 Lakhs.
